Here you can see a 3D model of a Japanese cord tree (Styphnolobium japonicum) in winter.
This tree is also known as the honey tree, Chinese scholar’s tree, pagoda tree, rosary tree or – because of its sour-tasting fruit – as the sour pod tree.
The Japanese cord tree is a medium-sized deciduous tree that grows to a height of over 25 metres.
All parts of the plant except the flowers are highly poisonous.
The natural range of the Japanese cord tree extends from Japan via Korea to China.
This tree has a height of 16 m and is modeled on reality.
The 3D model was developed and optimized for real-time applications such as 3D visualizations or computer games, but is also suitable for complex renderings.
To make it as easy as possible to insert the model into a 3D scene, the insertion point of the object was chosen at the root of the tree.
The textures have a resolution of 4096 x 4096 px and follow the PBR workflow (basic colour, roughness, metalness, normal).
