Here you can see a 3D model of a European yew in summer (Taxus baccata), also known as the common yew or simply yew.
Because its wood is well suited for making bows, it used to be called the bow tree.
The evergreen yew is a species with a wide variety of shapes that grows as a tree or shrub depending on the site conditions.
The yew is not restricted to Europe; its range extends from the Azores, the Atlas Mountains in northwest Africa, Europe, Asia Minor to the Caucasus and northern Iran.
The 3D model has a height of 12 m and is modeled on reality.
The tree was developed and optimized for real-time applications such as 3D visualizations or computer games, but is also suitable for complex renderings.
To make it as easy as possible to insert the model into a 3D scene, the insertion point of the object was chosen at the root of the tree.
The textures have a resolution of 4096 x 4096 px and follow the PBR workflow (basic colour, roughness, metalness, normal).
